This Privacy Policy applies to the eyeQ mobile application for iOS (iPhone and iPad) and its companion website at eyeq.games. eyeQ is developed as a game of visual acuity, precision calibration, and friendly 1-v-1 challenges.

2. Information We Collect

eyeQ does not require you to create an account, register with an email address, or provide any personal identification. Specifically:

• No Personal Credentials: We do not collect names, passwords, email addresses, phone numbers, or social media logins.
• No Location Data: eyeQ does not access GPS, cellular location, or IP-based geolocation.
• Anonymous Player Identifier: When you first open eyeQ, a randomly generated UUID (e.g. A1B2-C3D4-...) is stored locally on your device to represent you in 1-v-1 challenges. It contains no personal information.
• Display Nickname: If you choose to enter a player name for 1-v-1 challenges (e.g. "Alex"), it is stored alongside that challenge in Apple CloudKit so your opponent can see who challenged them.

3. CloudKit and Data Storage

eyeQ uses Apple iCloud and CloudKit services to store gameplay scores, calibration progress, and head-to-head challenge results. All data is securely transmitted and encrypted using Apple’s standard cloud infrastructure, with no personal identification tied to your game records.

4. Photos and Media Permission

eyeQ includes a scorecard share feature that generates a visual summary of your precision accuracy. If you choose to save a scorecard image to your device, the app requests permission solely to save the image to your Photos library. eyeQ never reads, accesses, or inspects any of your existing photos.

5. Third-Party Sharing and Advertising

Zero Third-Party Trackers: We do not integrate third-party ad networks (e.g. Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network), data brokers, or marketing analytics SDKs. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third party.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

eyeQ is suitable for general audiences and visual puzzle lovers of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Because no account registration exists and player identifiers are pseudonymous UUIDs, child safety is preserved by default.

7. Your Rights and Data Deletion

Because eyeQ does not maintain an identity-linked user database, you have full control over your data directly on your device:

• Local Data: Deleting the eyeQ app from your iOS device immediately erases all locally stored progress and streaks.
• iCloud Data: You can manage or delete eyeQ data in your iOS device settings under Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → eyeQ.
